Ugghhh exhausted .20 went in the can ! so my first wrap ... . I dont know what happened to the last 6 hours ... All I know is I was on rth and the next thing you know I was watching Tony Turner wrap a bail on you tube and then I was trying it out with whats left of the wrap Jo (naturenut) so kindly sent me so I could destroy it all .. Well I made a couple bails but I didnt like them so I tossed them .. then one thing lead to another and I was trying to wrap ... thinking hey I could do all those fancy swirly things you guys do ... Well I had one decent one going and I destroyed it ..Oh that was after 50 feet of wrap ...lol and many ruined tries .. Well in the end I had one last piece of wrap left in the right size for wrapping an arrowhead Jo sent me and well this is it ... cant make any more and honestly I dont wanna see any wire for another 4 months atleast ... guess its not too bad for a first wrap..I think it is !!! (too much wire) too many scratches) too loose ) too sloppy)my biggest concern is I cant see the rock .,..lol Iam way to ocd for this stuff ... Ill try again in a few months .

YEAH GREG!!! LOL, everytime he would write me to complain, I'd just say "keep trying!" LOL. Well it looks like you found your way. Really like what you did at the bottom, can I copy? Dang boy, you keep it up, you're on your way. Get more wire! LOL. Jo

Greg, we all feel that way when we begin. Then, if you leave it for too long, you feel that way all over! Just keep at it, one at a time so you don't overload yourself and learn to leave well enough alone. Sometimes, the more you mess with them, the more you mess them up! Keep this one so you can pull it out way down the road, after you have done many more. You will love it then! Fran

Yup, looks easy, don't it! It still takes me a looong time to get one done. I go slow and stare at it a lot to figure out what I want to do next. I think this wrap looks fantastic, and with lots of practice, you'll be cranking them out.

Looks good to me. I agree with what Fran said, too much messing can just leave a big mess. Keep at it and you'll be doing swirlies in no time.

Good job Greg! Wraps are hard, I spent way more than 6 hours doing my first wrap and it didn't even turn out 1/10th as good as yours! In fact, I have a dish of cabs waiting for wraps and every time I look at them I get intimidated...
You did awesome!

Thanks guys ... Ill try some more sooner or later ... wanna do some bail type ideas like Tony"s ... get real good at those first ..maybe save some money from buying a bunch of the sterling silver bails online and make my own ...besides that would be more of the really homemade look .

That's pretty darn good for a first try, mine certainly wasn't any better. It takes a while to get the feel of the wire and to learn the little tricks that help prevent nicks. So my advice would be to practice practice practice until you and the wire become one. lol For me the toughest part is design, I just don't have a swirly personality. That can be learned with time too I just find it harder.

I think the pattern you did adds a lot of interest to the arrowhead. I'll bet it looks great when it is on (it looks like it's supposed to be a necklace?).

I like it! Especially the copper wire with that particular arrowhead.

Now the wire will just start calling you and everytime you look at a cab or arrowhead you will be thinking in term of ..." how can I wrap that?"
