Here in Wickenburg, AZ....we have an annual celebration with a carnival, western shows, rodeo and vendors. It is called 'Gold Rush Days'. It attracts a tremendous amount of tourists and visitors from nearby Phoenix. I invited Diane, Jamie and Ken 'the knapper' to set up tables out front to reap in a little cash! All I can say is that it was very interesting and different! There was a BUNCH of people but not many were spending. Diane stayed at our house and set up Friday & Saturday, Jamie & Ken set up Saturday and then only Ken on Sunday. No one really sold much. Us girls had a pretty good time! Marlene, Jamie's mom, had just arrived from Utah and came with Jamie & Rodney on Saturday. Geez, I just love that lady!! Pina Coladas saved our nerves on Saturday night............HEAVY on the rum! LOL
Ken 'the knapper' had come and set up a few weeks before and really attracted some customers so I was really excited that he was coming back. This time Ken brought 4 of his 19 children. It got a little hectic is all I will say. Rodney came up with Jamie and took Katelyn and 2 of Kens four to the carnival in town. THANK YOU RODNEY!!
We closed everything down Sunday and I collapsed on the couch. Diane left earlier in the day, completely exhausted!
Rock Wrapsody
Diane (notice I talked her into leaving her hair down?)
Jamie & Marlene
Taz keeping an eye on the customers and hoping that Jasper didn't come out to play!
Ken the Knapper
Ken's four children playing the Wii in my living room
Katelyn watching the Wii and patiently waiting her turn
