I wrapped this one last night. Rootbeer Onyx in Bronze colored craft wire. What do you think of the color?

That's a nice one. I like that wire color, and I love that stone!

Beautiful job on the wrap as well as matching the stone to the wire. I haven't seen a bronze wrap before but with the price of Au & Ag, it's certainly an attractive alternative. Is the wire really bronze or just "bronze-colored" as you stated? I like the idea of bronze wire for corrosion resistance.

Great combination! Rootbeer agate is pretty, but that cab is really nice. The bronze is the perfect color with it.

That is really beautiful. I've been leery of using craft wire because of the possibility the coating will rub off during wrapping. Is it durable?

Thanks everyone. To answer your questions:
The wire is 21 gauge both square and half round. It is just bronze colored. very soft, easy to work, almost too soft. It is copper inside. The coating on the outside has a vinyl feel to it. It could probably mar and scratch off easily, but I had no trouble with it. I am going to try to find some real bronze wire.

Amy, That looks great. The color of the wire compliments the cab nicely. I wrapped a cab in that same bronze wire and it worked out well. Don't know how it will hold up but someone did buy it from me so hope it holds up for them. I don't know if you will be able to find real bronze wire in square and 1/2 round. I know brass comes like that but don't know about bronze. If you find some let us know please.

OK, I just made another one, and yes the bronze color does come off easily.
