Looks good also. I see what you mean about the tool marks. One thing I was told was that with practice we get better at knowing how hard to grip the wire. There is also the issue of what type of wire is used. I started with all half- hard wire, which resulted in a lot of tool marks. Since changing over to dead-soft, the marks have not been as bad because the wire is easier to work. And, the tool itself could be part of it too. I read where many people will sand their pliers down even smoother than how they come from the manufacturer. I did this also, it helped too. Hope this helps a little. The more experienced folks here can give you a lot of good info also.

I like that ring, it's a very cool style. Adding to what Mike said, you may be just squeezing the pliers too much.

It looked quite tall from the first photo, but really it is not, isn't it. This is the Pharoh's Ring, correct? From the other angle it looks great-the wire that is turned under might be a little too tall, what size where you at when you turned them down?
