Hi Jody: I read a comment from someone who ordered the download version and said some of the text and photos had been cut off. The reply was that they knew there was a problem but hope to get it worked out. I don't think I'll be getting the download version until that happens. Why spend the $ and not get all of it. Of course, I could get the print version, but I'm trying to save my pennies. If you end up getting a copy (whatever version) please post a review. I will say the cover looks good and the content interesting.

The editor is Jim McIntosh so it is bound to be great! I just bought my digital issue

The digital issue is rather hard to see pictures and loads slow, the magazine is great!
I am happy that this guy decided to do this as he is a great wire jewelry artist

I like it a lot! It is published by Jim McIntosh, author of "Wire Wrapping: The Basics and Beyond". I've only been doing wire wraps for just shy of a year now, and after a few feeble attempts, purchased the book. Saved me considerable time learning techniques.
The articles are done much like the book - lots of detailed photos accompany the step-by-step instructions. The photos, however, are now in full color! I would recommend your get the hard copy (this option also gets you the digital version straight away as well). Having the magazine right in front of you as you are working is much easier. There are also articles from other wire artists (including a neat article from Finland), an interesting piece on Horse Canyon Agate, and something Jim calls "wiresmithing".
The quality of the "printing" is excellent - hard glossy paper, with extra clear text and sharp photos (55 pages to the back cover). There are only a few advertisements... and so I worry that they may rely on subscriptions as the primary revenue source? I haven't any idea of the size of the lapidary hobby, but suspect it is small overall. Especially small if you boil it down to the hobbyist wire wrappers out there. And so I would like to see us all take out a subscription to help ensure the viability of a magazine specifically done for us.
Kind Regards, Bill

I am happy with it. The print & all is kind of large but I was able to reduce it to where it is quite readable!

Thank you for the input. I think I'll buy a copy of the print version. 55 pages is the size of a small book!!
I didn't realize Jim McIntosh published it. I have both of his books.
