Congates. Are those the ones after 2 days in polish? If so they certainly look great. Not sure if more time will make a difference.

ya those are the ones i was referring to in the beginner questions forum. im guessing that letting them go longer wont hurt right. but i have to admit that i am very excited that these will finally turn out like the other ones i see posted here on this sight. i really didnt think it was going to happen lol.

Love the colors and shapes. Are those pock-marks typical? Doesn't look like typical pitting, because they are shiny too. Interesting...

ya i think they are normal. i have seen other carnelians on this site and came to the conclusion that the potmarks or pits are just the nature of the beast. you can tumble them til there gone but i dont think there would be much stone left. the photos are also very close up. they are not as noticable when looking at them. i will post pics of the rest of the tumble and there are some that are perfect if im aloud to say that, with no pits, chips or cracks.

It's just so exciting when you get that first batch that really looks like you dream. I'm so glad you got yours.

carnelians are so hard! I have tumbled some too long, Hit crystal centers and still had pits. Sometimes, you just have to love them as they are. Great job! Fran
