I'm a total newb here, read a bunch of threads, asked a bunch of newb question. I see a lot of threads about how stuff is coming out or something came out great or something could have come out be better. But, most of these threads don't have pix. Or maybe there's pix but not the latest pix. So this is an open plea for more pix on this board. One of the other boards I participate in, epicski, offers this emoticon. So with respect to comments about how tumbling projects turn out, perhaps the following always applies-- -l2t

the term "worthles" is pretty much overstatement and ungrateful. best of luck with your efforts.

Yeah, pictures can be very useful but good written information should be part of the mix too. It's always difficult when someone asks a question about why their rocks didn't polish but shows no pics so we all have to draw out all the information as to how they look, what damage was sustained, what type rocks and recipes were involved etc etc. Rule number 1 is, " There is no such thing as too much information.". Besides, I like to look at pics....Mel

Hi
I dont like to add Pics to a thread I'm answering as I feel it is a taking Over Move ?? am I right ?
I often add a link instead is this OK ?
If I start a thread I always add a Picture if it helps to show the problem
There is a special section dedicated to Photos

Here's a link to a load from start to finish. Somewhere in this section(Totally Rock Tumbling) you will find a thread about World Rock Tumbling Competition 2009.I believe it starts around May of 2009 and it has all of the "talk" about these rocks and the process used,,,,, imageevent.com/tcknkk/comprocks2009?n=0&z=9&c=3&x=1&m=24&w=0&p=0Here is another link to a load of Apache Tears from start to finish,,,,, forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=tottumb&action=display&thread=42296There are a LOT of photos here,,,,ya just have to look for them! connrock

I think what L2T is getting at is some threads (especially the "why this didn't work" ones are sometimes lacking in pictures (as Mel Stated). He is trying to learn from others mistakes. I have noticed that we are often reluctant to show pictures of failures.

Yes, of course, I'm a newb and I'm not trying to overly critical. I'm just saying explanations and pix are best. Links to pix or embedded pix are both cool.

And of course, the graphic I linked to on EpicSki is supposed to humorous. It does have seven smileys in it after all.
