Hi everyone, I guess the subject of my thread says it all but I want to specify the fact that I am REALLY NEW TO ALL OF THIS. The only thing that I do know is that I just love the natural beauty of all mineral specimens. The thought of being able to take a rough stone and transform it into a highly polished work of art proved to be a temptation to great to resist. So here I am ready to take a tumble LOL:).
As I begin to lurk about the site I am sure that I will have an abundance of questions to ask and I just want to thank you all in advance for your patience.

Hey Stu, welcome aboard! Where abouts in NJ are you? I'm living in NC now, but moved here from Andover, up between Sparta and Newton. Miss NJ, especially the food, not especially the snow and jug handles, but miss it all the same. Oh, also when I came here I didn't know Granite from Spam, so if you hang around long enough, well you'll undoubtedly pick up a lot. Me, well there are several here who are my unknown and possibly even unwilling mentors in this hobby. They've also talked me into spending more money than I ever thought I would. But that's because I got that Rock Itch, the fever from Rock Hounding.

Hey Stu, welcome. Ironically, this is my 1st post here. I'm also in NJ, south-central on the edge of the pines.
