Hey guys, Well, I finally bought a couple more crystals to wrap. I was told this crystal is Tibetan quartz. I wrapped it in 24 gauge and 26 gauge copper & 18 gauge and 24 gauge silver plated copper. It ended up alot like my last one, but with a little weave added here and there. I had a bit of trouble holding the stone in ( it has very little taper ), after I finished the wrap I noticed I could almost pull the stone out... not a good thing. So, I ended up adding a bunch of extra wire coiled on the back at the bottom. That crystal is now wedged in there tight as can be .... Here's a good shot of the weave from the top... ... and the back with a ruler.... See all the extra wire at the bottom? Well, how did I do on this one? Chris

Nice Chris! Your wraps look like they take FOREVER to do.... how long does it actually take you to do all that detail work?

Love you're weaves. Looks great with the crystal protruding from it.

The one with the four opals took at least 10 hours.... This one took about 4 hours, I did it in two evenings... of course that was 4 hours sitting on the couch in front of the TV with lots of distractions. I could probably do it faster with the stereo on . Looks like a cobra ready to attack ........nice job Ha, Your right Jackie ... the top does look like a cobra with it's head reared back. I like it when people see things in my wraps. To me it's just wire and a design ( except for the machete wrap ;D ).

I'm sorry Chris, I don't really like this one. Just being honest. I think it is all the extra wire in back. It is visible from the front with the stone being transparent and all. And I think it is just too much wire for the stone. It does look better from the side, you can see more of the stone from the side. Just my opinion. Very nice tight job on the weave.

Thanks for the honesty Amy..... I don't like it either, all I see is a big messy wad of wire... Chris
