Thanks , I live in corona right next to riverside. I don't know what his username was because his computer didnt save things in the username or password fields. This forum was one of the ones he had in his favorites. His actual name was Mike Labrie if thats familiar to anyone.

Hey Dougy, sorry for your loss. If you could find out for us we'd really like to know which one of our members has passed. Maybe he wrote it down somewhere or has a rock friend who knows who he was. Jo

Hey Doug welcome. I just returned from Universal Studios with my family Monday. I love the weather down there...it is great. So how far do you have to travel to find rocks from Long Beach/Anaheim?

Howdy, Doug. I'm new to the forum myself and live out in Costa Mesa. I pass through Corona rather regularly though - usually on the way out to the desert to do some rock hounding. I think I saw some of our fire agates in the other post. They were awesome.

Welcome to the forum Doug! I am glad that you decided to join up and share in your grandfathers love of rocks! I wish I could recognize the name. Some of our members never went by their real name so maybe someone will know it and chime in. Fran
