This is one I did the other day. I'm working on the pendant now. Thought I'd post a pic or two of the intarsia before I get it set. I got involved in assembling it & forgot to take a pic. of the stones by themselves. the center is a blue green Chrysopraise, Pink Peruvial Opal, Lapis & the cap is Gary Green/Larsonite. I had a hard time getting a good pic. of all the stones. Either the pink washed out ot the gary green & lapis was too dark. So here's 3 different shots that show off the different colors. The last 2 were taken under water. It's 2 1/4" tall by 2" wide. Keeping the Lapis from breaking with the long curved point was a reall wory. Hope you like it & thanks for taking a look. Mike

Jack I felt like it needed a strong color to offset the pastels. Besides I like any color as long as it's blue LOL Mike

Mike, that is wonderful. Can't wait to see the pendant when it is finished. You are such an artist.

How do you come up with these? I have learned about straight line Intarsia, but curves. How do you do that?
Very nice. Tammy

Hi Tammy not trying to be funny. But very carefully. You have to gind one stone then the next one to it. Try it, grind a bit more try again etc etc. Hold the pieces up to a light & see how they fit & where you have high spots. It takes a while & a lot of trials. Not many short cuts that I know of if you want a very tight fit. I'm very critical of my work. Mike
