I have not found a way to get a photo of pyrite without reflections of my camera in it. This one you can see my camera and the sky really well. It is a pyrite cab with a little bit of Stillibite on the bottom. Wrapped in 22G gold fill. This one is Siderite without the pyrite in it. I just wanted to see if it would take a shine, and then I liked it enough to wrap it. Wrapped in bronze colored copper wire. This one is a red moss Agate? I groove wrapped in 22G and the wove it in 28G argentium silver. Thanks for lookin, Amy

Stilibite huh? And here I thought it was just quartz lol. Good to know. The cabs are gorgeous by the way. That red just pops with the silver wire!

Nate, I am not exactly sure if the stillibite is the white or the brown or both combined. But we went on a field trip to find stillibite and this is what we found. Along with the pyrite.

Very nice wraps Amy. I especially like the bronze colored wire with that second cab, it goes well with the stone. Nice view of the camera and sky in the pyrite.

I'm glad you posted this Amy. From the little searching I did, I see stilibite is quite soft. I have a small one cab piece I'm going to glue to a stick, and possibly would have hit it on the 100 grit disk I think that would have eaten it right up lol. Nate

Yeah Nate, I should have warned you about that. It is very soft. I started it on the 100 grit wheel and after very basic shaping went to 220. The pyrite is soft also.
