I decided to try a butterfly pendant. Guess I'm getting spring fever because my mind is on rocks and butterflies...lol. I used an oval crazy lace cab that seemed to go with the copper wire. I wanted to use copper since this was a first try doing something like this. Didn't want to mess up more expensive silver or gold fill. I would have liked to use a cab that looked more like a butterfly's body but didn't have one so tried to make the oval work. I also used an anvil I got from mudshark (thanks again my friend) to pound the wire on the wings to try to give it more depth. It might have been better with bigger wire but I didn't want to try to buy more wire for a design experiment. I also wrapped a carnelian cab in gold filled wire and it seems the swirls at the top wanted to be a butterfly. Last but not least, a cab of jasper from mtmuskrat in sterling silver and again a butterfly landed at the top.
