Found this on gravel bat on river in western Oregon. What would you call this, or would you just call it agate? The picture isn't great.

many agates have a name given to them locally, not being form oregon I don't know...but definately an agate...

I'm hopefully going to walk the sides of the Willamette this coming weekend.........My nephew worked some rock quarry's around it,said there alot of agates to be found.......

Now is a good time to go. Lots of fresh stuff finally being uncovered by the rivers starting to drop off.

I will have to give fish creek a try. I don't think it is too far from me. I used to do a lot of steelhead fishing in the area before I got into rocks. That is by Estecada?

looks like grave yard plume to me nice agate its a bit darker than the normal gy plume.
