I found this board looking for lapidary equipment advice - found what I needed and more looking around this board! I started with making bead jewelery 18 months ago, moved into wire wrapping and now rekindling my lapidary skills from over 30 years ago with my dad... I have a particular penchance for opal - Australian and Mexican... mmmm.... I have a number of cabs that my dad cut over 20 years ago and this is one of a few I have wrapped so far... Attachments:

Thanks for the warm welcome... I do have one question regarding silver soldering and finishing. Is there someone in particular I can ask on this board? I have soldered setting together for a stone but want to get some tool marks out of it. I can do it tediously with 600 and 1000 grit sand paper then use the dremel with a polish brush or tumble with stainless steel shot... I am hoping there is an easier way or recommendations on dremel accessories for tight spots.
