I thought, that since the board got me started in cabbing, and has encouraged me to continue with the wrapping and all that, you guys should be the first to see what I did today for the first time..... I was sitting here this morning having my coffee, trying to think of something new I could do.....something different, ya know? As I sat here, I started to stare aat the ceiling......the fan to be exact.....and there it was.....looked all over the net...cant find these, done with lakers, anywhere, so forgive me if I have missed something...BUT...... Candy striper, Paint agate, and a candy striper...all self collected done by hand....no dopping.... Each row shows the different sides to these...yes they are cylindrical.....not flat sided. All they need now is a bail of some sort to attach a chain to for a fan pull....or a pendant....or a talisman...or a suncatcher...or.,............................................ Thanks for lookin'!!! Marie

Wonderful idea!!! Now you just need to drill a hole through them for a chain to go through.......................Not! That would take forever!!!! Must be another way to do it though! Love the idea & they are quite beautiful!

Marie, you could drill a hole in them using the Dremel and some little bitty diamond drill bits you can find on eBay - I know, because that's what I've done. It's easier if you have the Dremel thingy that makes it a drill press, of course .... just a thought. Tom PS - I like your idea. Makes me think - I have a bowl full of sodalite tumbles and another bowl full of amethyst tumbles that could be coerced into something like that ... thanks for the idea!

remember if you try and drill them to either submerse them or drip water on the bit.

Thanks everyone!! I think they are just too cool! Probably because of 2 things....1st...those stone turned out waaaay more than I expected the to....I just pulled a couple of lakers outta the box, and started grinding on them...no cutting lol.....and 2nd....they actually turned out! lololol After making these yesterday, it opened a new door too.....I am going to attempt to make something today with my un cut Lakers......If it turns out, I'll post it! lol too fun!! thanks again!!
