i am another one who is over their raytech tv-5. i bought a 12 pound thumlers and am now considering the lot-o for finishing because i am reading here it is quiet and runs well. the mounting has me confused. 40 pound cement block? is this a standard home depot type item? like a cinderblock? those weigh 40 lbs? thanks

oh! also, i am looking at the double tumbler as an option since i would buy an additional bowl for the single anyway and that gets me closer to the price of the double already. can you run just one barrel at a time in the double or do both need to be filled for balancing reasons?

Here are some photos of how I have mine mounted,,,,,, The concrete anchors in the last photo were added cuz I didn't really like the double sided tape idea.Probably not necessary but I just did it. I'm not sure if you can run only 1 barrel at a time with that double unit but I do know it's not recommended to run the single barrel unit empty or with a very light load due to spring failure. I bought the 2 separate units for this reason. You can contact Tom at 507-451-2254 or go to this web site for further information,,,,, www.lototumbler.com/Good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,, connrock

i mounted my lot-o on a block, 16x8x4, from the lumber yard. i painted it on one side so the double sided tape had a nice surface to stick to. i set my block on two pieces of electric equipment cord cut to fit below the block and the cement garage floor. that keeps it quieter. hope this helps you. have the block done before you get the saw and then you will be ready to go and mount it right away. charlie

Hi The single unit is on a mounting board of 6" X 12" I used Toms tower and put 1/2 a kerb stone on the top works a treat it is so nice not to have to bend down to add grits and rock Heres a photo of my set up I didnt bother to silicone the blocks just dry walled them as I was thinking of moving the vibe to another place, BUT the unit is stuck to the kerb stone, this must be a good solid fix as Tom has said Jack Yorkshire uk

drdrew, the Lot-O double barrel tumbler must be run with BOTH barrels full, according to the directions. I had contemplated a double, glad I didn't, because I didn't know this until I got my single & saw the instructions.
By the way, you WON'T be disappointed with the Lot-O choice, it is a fine tumbler.

okay! update! Lot-0 arrived. it is mounted and running! impressions: it is way smaller than i expected. it is way quieter than i expected. the tumbling action is about 10 times faster than in my ray tech where the rocks sort of lazily moved around. i am thrilled, i LOVE it!
