The one you have labeled as 'another square chunk is wonderstone. Then you have a green/white stone followed by more wonderstone.

Nice thunderegg! We have cut open a few but haven't got set up to polish them yet. I hope by the end of summer. As a tip, separate out the wonderstone/rhyolite from the rest of the stuff. It has to be polished by itself. Some of it might be too porous to take a high polish. I only took one piece of the wonderstone from the sale because I already have too much, but it was just a little too cute to leave behind. I put a satin polish on it. After awhile, I will make a post showing some of the items I've made from the sale, with photographs, but I'm a slow worker. Some of the Rhyolite takes a "real" polish; these two pieces are not from the sale but they are some old estate pieces I worked up a few months back, with an uncut piece in the background. I also have a Rhyolite sphere with a polish on it, but I do not know how he got this polish, and he has passed away, taking his secrets with him. It would be worth figuring out, since some of the Rhyolite has large patterns on it, conducive to a nice sphere.

Colt, looks like you have some wonderful stones there. I could only identify the wonderstone but it is one of my favorites because of the great colors and swirls. There are many on the site that really know their stones and could help you a lot.

I said this in my first post, but I ended up posting tons of "rock need ID's" photos. so here's the ones that should be shown! ~ Before cleanout, After cleanout, the pile....(s). The pile on the upper left is just where i started putting things. mostly bigger chunks, and stuff i'm going to make into show pieces. middle is better looking stuff that i picked out. lower pile is everything elts. bench, planters, and tool box are to kind of keep the dogs from running through there and knocking stuff down. The light blue crate is obsidian only, tot wash, dunk basket, sledge hammer, and my little stool! A nice piece of Rainbow Obsidian! Another rainbow. Really need ID on this! the word Wolf comes to mine when i look at this slab. And I want more of it! It's beautiful!!! ~Colt Chainmail

Might the Wolf piece be a petrified wood?

Thank you everyone greatly, that has help me so far! ;D
Wounderstone, Rhyolite, got it! I kind of thought the wounderstone looked just too porse to take shine when I first saw it.
Butterscotch Jasper, sounds like a cool name! I Like It! the stone is not in my liking though. I need to cut it and see the inside!
My "wolf slab", if it is pet wood, This is the best piece I have ever seen! Most pet wood to me is historicly cool, but not much interest in it. The back is, well I geuss you would call this an end cut, because the other side is rough. I'll see if I took a pic of the back or not.

Nice looking rock pile you started! Be careful, you're gonna turn around and it will grow 10x in size. Thanks for the photos of your awesome finds. I need to get some of the stuff I got up. BTW, I'll be at the open house on Saturday Steve
