Just introducing myself to the board. I live in the SE corner of British Columbia. Mainly fossils in my area, and I extensively collect trilobites. Over the past couple years I have travelled to Oregon and got hooked on thundereggs and agates. Looking forward to the future discussions with this group. Chris

Hello from BC ! I am a new member from BC too. I've got a mountain of ore I have to mine. I'm an accountant & my only experience in mining is as the accountant for Alaska Apollo Gold Mines on the Vancouver Stock Exchange back in the 80's.
So, I need some equipment - I think I need a big diamond saw so I can cut the mountain into chunks & remove it. I also need some kind of a truck that will take the weight of a full load of ore - I want to keep the pieces as big as possible without breaking up. And then how the heck do you lift a big chunk of rock - like say it doesnt break up and its as big as a person, how do I get this rock onto the truck.
Don't laugh too hard. I'm just a girl..........
My mining partner is a grassroots 420 mountain man - he's tumbled rocks since he was 14 and he doesn't venture out into civilization much.
I want to get onto the Rock Hounds forum, but the site won't let me join. Any advice ?
So if you can share some wisdom, it would be much appreciated.
Stay Righteous.
