I do sell pendants each weekend at our booth but I really don't wrap them, I do drill the stones with the Dremel and make a wire bail. People seem to love these and some of these are stones Snuffy traded with me. I have my tumblers going all the time. Anyway small sample: Thanks for looking! Tanya

Nice work. I was thinking of doing something like that. I haven't got my drill set-up yet. I'm glad you posted this because it gives me an idea of what the pieces will actually look like. I can see why people like them -- they look informal and yet unique, something you can wear with jeans and a T-shirt, man or woman, adult or teen, and still have your own look. Actually, I want to do a drilled Amber piece first, but I have set aside some of the Snuffy slabettes for your idea. I did my very first wrapped bail a few days ago but I did not drill the stone, I just had an already drilled stone hanging around the house. And the way I did it, there's too much wire. Your style is something I've been thinking about, because it shows off the stone better. If you want a laugh, here is my lone attempt at making a wire-wrap bail. It's pretty sad...but it is my first. Drilling front to back, as you did, and making your style of bail really shows off the stone much better. Also, I've forgotten how to make the hand-cut leather thongs, so my thong is a little weird. I have a tool so that I can cut this nice leather evenly but I've forgotten which of my leather tools it is. That is truly sad!

Very very cool Tanya!!! I like your display tray too, where do you get those? I could certainly use something like that for the rock box my son built for me.

Thanks, I love your pendant. I use some Leather some chains, of course not the real Sterling or Gold but they look okay and I also string some on ribbon, people really like the ribbon. I have quite a variety to give what they want and it's not much wire involved. I do use Sterling on some bails but I charge a little more for those. I always take ribbon and tools to attach the length and color they want. Thanks Krystee, I bought my trays at a place in townDayton called Flower Factory. It is a wholesale place that handles about everything but you have to have a business. I am certain you can find them on the web for pretty cheap. Tanya

Tanya, they're basic, practical and attractive, three great qualities. They've got some flair, but don't interfere with the beauty of the stone.

Thanks Nate, Roller and Susan, I truly value your opinions. Susan, it is the stones I love. Every one is unique and since I don't have a saw to cut, just use others slabs, well, that just makes them more unique.

Those are great. A lot of people gravitate to the simple bails that allow the stone to speak for themselves.

Thanks Fossilman, Roy and Sitnwrap! I love doing these and you are right Lori, I sell a lot of them and since they are tumbled they are all unique.
