Just playing around, and built up this pendant. It was made from Owyhee, black obsidian, and Howlite. Part of the experiment was the actual wire. Kind of hard to see in the photo, but I took a stand of half round GF and half round silver. Laying the flat sides together, I then twisted them to make a round wire! Twisting them makes the wire stiffer, and so I made a very small bale, and then made some rings large enough for the necklace cord. Anyway, I learned some things and hope to improve on my next effort. Owyhee Jasper by Mystic Koi, on Flickr Kind Regards, Bill

Very nice. I like the wire, you are right about the wire, it gets much harder when you twist it. I always use soft wire.

That's really creative, Bill. My boys and I collected a bunch of howlite from Tick Canyon and have been wondering what to do with it. Thanks for the idea (although I'm nowhere near the skill set necessary for this type of work).
