Well, I came across a whole bunch of geodes and some were good enough sliced in half to wrap on their own, others I'm having one of my suppliers cut into slices. They're all natural, no coloring (I hate dyed stones, don't understand that one bit, there are beautiful things out there naturally.) Anyway, have others ever wrapped geode halves or slices? I'd like to see them if you have! Here's one of mine Not sure what the little black coloring is on the inside of the crystal, but it's part of the rock, anyone know? Krista

Very cool wrap. I have not done a geode wrap but know other people who do.

I love the way you did that. Especially the sides. Awesome design. I have wrapped a couple geodes. Well this one isn't exactly a geode. But same idea. I don't have a pix of the back. I did smooth out the back a bit on the grinder. It had some kinda sharp points on it. And this one I did a while ago in brass. They are fun to do. A littl different to get it to hang right as the back is not flat. Amy

Amy, those are very pretty! I guess I haven't put this wrap on a chain yet so will having to see how it hangs and maybe make some adjustments if it doesn't hang correctly. Thank you everyone for the compliments! I found this very fun and different from the cabs and tumbled stones I normally wrap - Krista

Krista that is just beautiful. It looks like you wrapped it in gold filled? I love the amount of wire you used and how it fans out on the sides. It creates a really pretty effect. Since you ask, here is one I did long ago which I posted way back when. I believe that this was a crystal vug instead of a geode but same idea. It was a lot of fun wrapping as the crystals sure help inspire the creative side.

Thank you very much, yup, it's 21 gauge square gold-filled. So the pendant is pretty decent size, but for what it is I think it's rather pretty Your wrap turned out really nice as well! Krista
