Fossilman, you have some beauties. That second one looks like one beautiful Petrified Wood. Awesome.

Mr Fossilman, in the first two photos, I recognize the "Berry Plastics Corp" boxes. I was part of a layoff back in Janurary from a plant in Bremen Georgia. Frankie

Dang, Fossilman ... that's pretty awesome! Wish the original owner of my place had been kind enough to leave a box of rocks. Although ... I did get a box or so of sprinkler equipment that came in real handy!

If # 3 is opalized wood, it probably came from a place called the Diatom Pits. I understand that it's closed to general collecting, but they allow federation members to collect a couple times per year.

Got a friend in Salem that I will take these too and have him look at them......The 2nd one I'm going to get polished up and add to my collection. The graveyard agate, slice it and keep one piece, sell the rest...As for #3,if its petwood,I'll slice it and keep a couple, sell the rest too.......

I agree first one is graveyard and second is wood . Third one has the shape of a limbcast on the side, take a chip off the "matrix" around the cast and see if it is the same. could be another graveyard.

Did some cleanup on the 3rd rock........ First pic in compare with #3 is completely different in structure and texture.....(Graveyard agate) (Unknown)maybe opalized wood.... Cleaned it up with some baking soda and water, helped somewhat... Plus it has quit a few crystal cavities in the rock itself....(six that I can see)

Third looks like graveyard . Graveyard varies quite a bit, plus often has drusy vugs . The first one looks like regency variety, when there is rose-pink plumes, called regency rose plume .
