I love it! I'm going to have to have to look into Charoite. The color is just beautiful and the silver wrap really sets it off.

Beautiful stone and wrap. Except for the tight spiral over the bail

Thank you everyone for your comments. I really like this material too. I have one small slab left of this material. I got it in some estate items. Who knows how old it is. I broke the cab I started with. I will re-cut it later.

Not often you see charoite of that quality these days. It does break easily so take care when cutting. I had an old piece from my great-grandfather. I should have waited until I had more experience before I tried to cab it...

Hi Christoper,
Extra nice... I really like what you've done with this one! Charoite is so cool, but a real pain to work. And really good stuff like you have there isn't cheap!

That cab is gorgeous. This is my honest opinion so I hope you don't mind. It stinks when you foul up on a particular design that you want (been there) and I have admired your herringbone which is lovely. Wrapping styles are basically a matter of taste so aside from that if you are happy with it, that is really all that matters but if you are still iffy, with a cab of that quality, seems it is worth the best of your wrapping skills. I do like the coil at the top. It is not easy getting them so perfectly round and tight.
This is just my 2 cents which is worth about - 2 these days. lol

Christopher, that is a beautiful cab & a beautiful wrapping style for it. I do like the coil at the top but each time I look at it I keep wanting to straighten out the wires across the top. I am missing that really cool crisscross I saw on your other cabs.

I know what you mean Donnie. I don't know what went wrong with this one. I think I positioned the top wraps to high. The last time I did it I put them too low on that Stefoinite cab, so I think I over compensated. I am going to have to start doing more wraps to get back into practice. I have a little project in my back yard that has been taking a lot of my time lately. Maybe when I get done with building my shed I will have enough room in my garage to build my benches so I can start smithing.
