Welcome aboard Elizabeth. How many second grade students do you have ? I'd be happy to send you enough tumble polished petrified wood to give each a couple of pieces to take home with them. Don

I have 30 students. Oh my goodness that would be so wonderful. So many of our students have never been to the ocean. Each time I go I bring back a goodie for them. Thank you again.

These pieces of petrified wood come from road gravel around Aberdeen, South Dakota. There isn't much big material to collect in N.E. South Dakota, so I pick this stuff up while walking my dog. I used to tumble it, and give it to the Girl Scouts for craft projects, but I guess they have enough to last for a while. If you send your name and an address to my profile, I'll get a box out within a week. Don
