rodney,,, The barrel requires about 4-4-1/2 lbs of weight to work properly so if you have been doing "light" loads it won't work right.
I contacted Tom,,,the maker of the L-O-T quite a while back and we spoke about moving the stick, etc, etc and the proper vibration.
He told me that there's 3 ways to change the vibrations,,, One is to move that stick and if that doesn't work then weight had to be added to the 2 fan/counter balance wheels. The 3rd is to make sure that the weights on the fan/counter balance wheels are perfectly aligned with each other.
Hope this helps,,,

Conrock, When you had your conversation with Tom Stockwell did he give you any idea how much weight could be add to the fan / counter balance wheels before it would cause problems with the motor shaft bearings? I have noticed that if I put pressure on the base of the frame just past (toward the front springs) where the rear spring bolts are I get much more and faster rotation on the contents of a full barrel. But at this point I cant see a method that will increase this pressure. That’s why I am wondering about the counter weights. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks Ron

i see a lot of change in rotation of the rocks depending on the amount of water with the rocks. usually when i get good rotation in the evening, the next morning they are moving real slow because of the new grit slowing them down. then i spritz a few shots of water from the spray bottle and they speed up again. hope this helps... charlie

i moved the stick back toward the motor/fan end, only moved it about 3/16 " and it made a huge difference in the action of the rocks,it seems to be alot better but i just did it this morning so we will see Rodney
