I am unemployed now. I quit my job for a job I was sure I had at Petsmart. After 5 interviews they decided I wasn't Petsmart management material. Probably wasn't meant to be. Anyway, I have time on my hands now, so amongst the long neglected household chores I have also been doing some wrapping etc. This is what I have done. This looks like very dark red jasper with some hematite in it. groove wrapped in bronze color wire, I also made the chain from the same wire and some copper beads. I call this one, "I ssssee you." Looks like snakes eye to me. Onyx groove wrapped in bronze color wire. Is this Dendritic or Moss? I got this small slab piece from the traveling rock box as it went through here. Wrapped it in Argentium silver. Mexican crazy lace groove wrapped in Argentium Silver. Orange stone beads and shells with gold color beads, and Agate pendant bead. Purple amethist chips with ceramic beads bracelet. Tiger eye. Nuff said. Turquoise and silver plated beads. another turquoise and silver plated beads with earrings to match. Gonna take these to the craft show this weekend. Wish me luck. Amy

Good luck on the craft show. Hope you do well. Sorry to hear the Petsmart job didn't work out but something will come along for you. In the mean time at least you will get to do some more of your wonderful jewelry work. These are all great.

hey Amy, Your pieces are really looking good. I'm so sorry to hear about the Petsmart situation. Is there any way I can help? Would you like to try to sell some pendants on my website? I get a lot of traffic. Good luck at the craft show - where is it?

Amy, I am sorry Petsmart did not work out for you but I am certain God has a better plan for you. Your necklaces and sets are just beautiful. Hopefully you will sell out this weekend.

Thanks everyone. The art show was just too hot! Not very many people ventured out of their air condioning. At least I made my booth rent and $50.00.
But the good news is Petsmart has called me again. The store manager really believes in me and wants to make me a groomer to get my foot in the door, then will promote me up as soon as he can. It was the district manager who did not want me to be a manager. but he won't have anything to do with this store after it opens up.
All I need to do is go in and groom a dog to be certified. They have chosen a 6 month old wheaten terrier for his first groom to test me on. I have never groomed a wheaton terrier. This ought to be fun. I have groomed similar breeds like the Kerri blue. I am sure I can do it. but they must really have faith in me. I never gave a first groom to a potential groomer as a test at my shop.
I am not worried about it. I have 20 years grooming experience. If I can't groom it, it can't be groomed. They do not have a salon manager yet, so I may get promoted up pretty quickly.

I always believe that when one door closes, another opens. You'll get something weather it's at Petsmart or not. These are vey cool pieces Amy. Nice work.
