My associate asked me to make handles for his knife, and picked out some Indian Paint stone for the project. I really struggled with this one... he wanted pretty thin handles, and so I had to back the paint stone with extra thin black obsidian to keep it from fracturing. Also, the knife has a full size tang, but it was wavy and beveled. Arghhh!!! Anyway, best I could do... Looks like you did a great job with it.
I would have picked out a plainer stone so as not to steal attention from the awesome blade, but it's his knife...
