I've only been trying to figure out how to post pictures since July and, thanks to Jack, finally realized tonight that one does not use the tools on the posting page when posting a photo. This was my first treasure, found last spring on our trip to Petoskey, MI. While I recognize the Petoskey elements, it's the swirly stuff on bottom and the round growth, horn coral?, I could use some information about. So, without further delay...here are some picts. and this and this and finally this! Thanks and hope this works!

Thanks, it was my first "neat find." It really is a cool piece. I want to take it into my club and take the gouges and scratches out with the big wheels. I think the thing I like about it so much is that it's a nice sample of all three organisms...kind of a 3 dimensional, touchable image of the primodial world! It's not one static organism but a chunk of a colony with a lot going on within it. Thanks for the info and looks!

Absolutely right, Ted. I think there is another of those little guys on the other side of the bottom, but not as clear.
