A friend of mine from work, Dave Perry, makes some very good points, and blades with Obsidian. I have been messing around with making simple halfted handles for some of his work and have been getting good results. Check them out... This blade is about 5 1/2" long and is made from Mahogany Obsidian. The handle is made from Mullberry wood, and the entire piece is about 14" long... These 2 have smaller blades - about 2" from Mahogany Obsidian, and Mullberry wood handles - great for small skinning knives... Thanks for looking! Dave

Thanks! I still want to try few with antler and bone handles. Im trying to keep them as primative as possible as my friend does alot of Lost Arts and historical festivals. These simple knives are becoming pretty popular- almost a small side buisness for me.
