Hi everyone. I am still around, just been very busy lately. I had a booth in my rock clubs annual gem and mineral show this past weekend. It was a very good show this year. I took in $700.00, and I got to meet Gr. It is always nice to meet fellow RTH'rs. I missed seeing Mary anne and Ralph. they were not there this year. Anyway, I got a special commission piece while I was there. The same people from Michigan who commissioned me to make a stone pendant which looked like 2 feathers, asked me to do another one this year. Their deceased, adopted son was of native american descent and his tribal name was Two feathers. Here is the one I made for them last year. and the earrings to go with it. This is the one I made today. These are both sagenite. The second one was a bear to make as it went flying and broke the top stems and one feather tip off. So it is redone a bit smaller now. The customers loved it anyway. They also want me to make a pair of earrings to go with this one. for their daughter for Christmas. Does anyone out there have a slab of blue sagenite you can part with?

Love those cabs with their little extras. Simple carving can increase the visual effect much more than most people realize and does neither take a long time nor an expert to do. Well done, lets see more of it!

I would love to try a fire agate feather. I don't have any fire agate. and have never worked with it before. But am willing to try.
I probably should have mentioned that I did not use a dremel on these. All the carving is done with my saw blade and the edge of my 220 wheel. I have made a leaf this way also. I should make more.
