Biggs, Brecciated rind material interlaced with common opal. That is the reason that I love cutting pictures in cabbing as well as carving simple things, would not give up either one! Sub-herb material, definitively my favorite Jasper for the time being. People say its something not valued in Biggs, but I say, if you don't want it, you know my number, give me more. Also; just in time for Halloween: What do you see in this jumble of colors? For me: its like someone hiding there in the woods! Rough Slab Before Sanding Showing jumble of Hematite streaks. Finished out-doors in shadows Lets see, there might be a second one in this slab, even more enticing. This is not yet the picture I bought this slab for. This was the test cab. So we shall see, if the test turns out better than the intend one. Would not be the first time. LOL Thanks for looking

Thanks everyone! ;D the rock seems a difficult stone to work with the Hermatite inclusions ? jack Yorkshire uk The Hematite (or whatever it is) veins are so fine that they can not be seen face on. I only saw a hint of it once I worked at 2000 grid sanding-paper. Undercutting was not a problem as there is very little Agate, if any at all, and the opal has similar hardness as everything else. Fracturing and chipping was only minimal and I think it happened solely because I let the rock get too hot at times (I cut everything freehand) Greetings, Kurt

that came out great cant wait to see the next one LOL Will take a week from now the least, because my camera went on holiday till Saturday next week. By then I should have at least 4-5 cabs from this slab and the way it looks right now, they should all look very different.
