Hi Folks: Judy had come up with some really cool cab stands (http://forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=creationtime&action=display&thread=48002) that I thought would also make great specimen stands for some of my boys minerals. I emailed her the dimensions of some of their rocks and Judy cooked up a pair of stands for them. To help with the possible depth of the pieces, she enlarged the front lip to accommodate the size of the rocks. Two of Nathaniel's pieces occupy a premium space in my wife's china cabinet: Chrysocola: Rubellite & Lepidolite: Thank you, Judy! These are awesome stands! Thanks Paul

Gotta work up some pics with the stands Judy sent to me.
Hey Paul, did the rubellite and lepidolite come from the Stewart Lithia Mine ? I have a couple specimens from there that I collected in the 1950's.

Hi Don: Yup, same place! However, I picked it up from Walt Lombardo, proprietor of Nevada Mineral and Book Company up the street from me in SoCal (used to be located in Nevada). Nathaniel picked it out. He also picked out a piece of lepidolite and elbaite (same mine) that looked nice. The chrysocolla stands out on the copper (stole the idea from Judy who was using malachite).
