The weather has slowed down our business, and so had some time to goof off and get back to the cab machine. Snakeskin Jasper - I'm working on another knife using this material, but first thought it wise to make a cab to ensure that it cuts and polishes well. Snakeskin Jasper by Mystic Koi, on Flickr The last of my Pilbara Jasper :-( Pilbara Jasaper by Mystic Koi, on Flickr I received a small piece of Chrysoprase as a gift, and so made this little pendant. Chrysoprase by Mystic Koi, on Flickr Botswana - Yea, it has some fractures, and normally I would just toss it into my collection of "not wrap worthy cabs". But, it struck me and so I can live with the flaws. Botswana Agate by Mystic Koi, on Flickr Regards, Bill

Striking is an understatement! They look fantastic!
I love them all. Sometimes flaws mare a piece just more attractive and if not told, I would not even see it !

I agree, I didn't see the fractures in the bot right away either. They're all mighty fine, Bill!

Those are some very nice wraps! I like how the wire fits very closely around the stone, something I still have a little problem with. What ga. of wire are you using for the wrap? I am using 21ga, ds and 22ga hh for the binding. Maybe I should go a gauge smaller? And, the simplicity of the wrap, a groove wrap maybe, looks perfect for the chrys. I like your style and work!!

Hi Mike,
I actually worked on getting the fit close to the edge based on suggestions from Randy (thanks man). I use DS 22 gauge square for the wrap, and 21 gauge half round for the binds.
Kind Regards, Bill

I love the jasper and with the Botswana fractures I find intriguing and makes me want to see the back side... :-)
