Hello! I've always loved rocks and have recently joined a rock and mineral club out of LaCrosse, WI. Look forward to learning rockhounding tips and hunting locations. Also will soon be at a session on wire wrapping. If things go as they seem to be... somehow I could see rock tumbling down the road in my future, lol. While I enjoy hunting for Fairburn agates in SD and Nebraska, I seem to pick up a lot of red jasper. I've seen photos that it polishes up nice. The photo with this post was on the SD/WY line. The rock was bigger than it looks from that angle. I got a piece that had broken off it to bring home. Glad to meet ya! ~ Lisa Attachments:

You didn't take the whole rock? I would've, that one is pretty! Good luck on the wire wrapping, there are a few of us that can answer any questions on that. Post pics of everything, even if you don't think it's good enough. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, I did a tutorial on wire wrapping. I don't do them like this anymore, but it's a good starting point..... forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=wwp&action=display&thread=26661

Welcome Lisa!
We've got a pretty active club here in the Twin Cities if you ever make it up this way.
You've come to the right place for any questions regarding wire wrapping, tumbling, making cabs, etc.
