Hello to all, My name is Bruce and I have always loved rocks. I started out building with rocks, but recently became fascinated with rock polishing, well that’s not totally true because I remember as a kid watching a neighbor running a home made polisher using sand as his media, and being very fascinated. I am however new to the intricacies’ of the art and have proven this by hard heading it through the last six months, with out doing the proper research necessary, and my rock polishing experience has me frustrated with poor results. After reading here after I joined last night I already know what most of my problems are, cross contamination. I’m going to clean up my act now that I’ve wasted untold hours and money. I am the typical guy who never seeks help until it becomes quite painful. I’m certain everyone here has thought at one point that, (how hard could rock polishing be)and found out that its not hard if you have the right information?? I was thrilled to find this site and look forward to learning about rocks and polishing. I live in northern Minnesota and mainly hunt for Lake Superior Agates and Jasper, and quartz, as that’s about all I have here locally. I have a huge supply of rocks Ive found in the last year and now just need to learn what to do with them. Respectfully, Bruce

Welcome Bruce. There are many people here who will be able and willing to help you at every turn of your adventure. Don't be shy, ask and in turn share your own experience regularly.
