For a first wrap your doing great it gets easier each time you do it and you will develope your own style as you go. the bail could be a tad bigger and its securing wrap a bit tighter, but over all it look good. Try to end your binding wraps with the ends on the inside next to the stone. you should have seen all my failed wraps when I first started, they made a fair sized ball of wire I still get goof ups every now and then

Not too bad Clyde. A few friendly suggestions - You want to make sure the ends of the curlies are tucked in so they don't snag on a sweater. Also, when you do the binding wraps, start and finish them on the inside, so it's cleaner looking, and also doesn't snag. You also may want to try square & half round wire which is a little easier to work with.
It's a nice looking wrap, and as Diane said you're well on your way.
Keep on wrapping! Nate

Good job Clyde. I've bought wire & tools, did 2 wraps, first one looked like a monkey did it & the 2nd one was worse! You did good.

We all started at the same place as you, Clyde. You will get better & it will get easier. It feels weird & awkward at the beginning, but as you continue wrapping each time it will get easier & easier & your fingers will just know what to do. Great job for your first one! Just follow the hints Nate & Frog gave you & you will be well on your way. Also, you can get the copper in square & half round for a very decent price. Another one you could work with would be brass, also available in square & half round at a decent price, as well.

Clyde, keep at it, you will learn a lot by going over Randy's tutorial for sure. Getting feedback from other wrappers helps too. My first wraps were rough and I still have some that end up as scrap metal rather than jewelry. Try not to be too hard on yourself and give yourself time to develop your own style.
