Tim, that is awesome! I mostly enjoy the journey, the end result is just the icing on the cake. Looks like a lot of fun work putting this all together.

Wow, very cool. Although i am not sure if i like the sphere or the big stone rubix cube better. I would almost be tempted to square up a cube like that and polish it like that. Even the flat slabs of squares smoothed and polished would make really neat coasters. No matter what, it sure looks good to me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. It's funny, you get so involved with the completion of the project that you fail to look at alternative endings. It would make really cool coasters or just polished up as a cube. When I start slabbing for the next attempt, I will cut lots of extra slabs to play around.

Perfect seams all around, and what unexpectrd shapes some of the pieces got due to the rounding. Using some striking contrast materials would make such spheres even more eye catching.
