Just hought I would let you self builder know of a good thing...I just ordered fro Lortone a shaft that they use in their 6 inch 6 wheel cabber...its 3/4 inch and tapped at the ends for spin on disks...It only cost me 38.50 plus shipping !!.....Honestly I was a little surprised that they were willing to sell a replacement part to be used in a homemade machine...

All their replacement parts seem pretty reasonable to me. Good price on a ready shaft too.

Scott, yes I had just been on the phone with them before I made the posting. I also ordered a pulley, spacers , bushings and end nuts for the shaft......they said it would be in the mail by Wednesday......and that they would call with the grand total.......
John , yep I agree with you about their parts costs. An excellent price on a ready made shaft to be sure. Covington sells one for something like 130 bucks and kingsley has a shaft with pillow blocks and a pulley for 42 dollars but it is only 12 inches long......it would be good for two or three wheels. Any more would be just too cramped......
