I found this over 20 years ago and didn`t notice the crinoid fossil in it until a couple of years ago. I wonder if the original knapper noticed it in the rock so many years ago. Attachments:

I have collected crinoids and crinoid chunks up in Tennessee and wondered many times if the past Native Americans ever used this agate material for arrowheads or other artifacts. Now I know, and such a cool finding !!!!

I got an invite from my attorney to go hunt rocks and artifacts on his land near Lampassas, Tx. It has a dry creekbed with dugouts on the banks of it. May be prime artifact hunting. At least the geologist for Wildlife and Fisheries Dept. seems to think so!I hope to go soon. It`s been a few years since I`ve found any.
