My husband found this nodule thing while working in south dakota or wyoming the outside is clay and inside gets harder with fossils and some of the others were given to me or found these were found with the nodule Thanks for looking....Tammy

Nice little collection going there!You have a nodule "death plate"-baculite's,scaphite snails and other species of clams and snails...... The baculites you can cut long ways in two and get some great colors from the inside canals......I have photo's of cut baculites on here,go to the 1st pages of this fossil forum.....

to fossilman i had 7 more but with the weather and such they started breaking apart that's where the smaller baculites and ammonites came from

can anyone tell me what the whitish/yellowish one is I thought it was a small turtle but the uniformity of the top is not rounded so I think it might be some kind of a clam or something.

Thanks again for looking....Tammy It looks to be the top joint of a old bone,can't really tell from that pic.....From the right side,I see some perfs that make it look like dino bone....

Wow,that piece has me thunderstuck........Try taking it to the Dino museum in Dickinson,ND...They would be able to give you an ID............
