Great design ... what material are the beads made from? Glass?

Those are pretty, but as an artist, a wire wrapper and an appreciative artisan addict, they should not be perfect. If anything the fact that they are just slightly different, as long as they hang the same length and you don't vary the design too much a few differences are actually a good thing for hand made objects. It shows that a machine didn't mass produce them. People often talk about tool marks on wire, well as long as the wire isn't actually mucked up tool marks are just another proof that you actually made the piece. So I'd say strive for as close as you can and be proud that they aren't exactly identical! Krista

I agree with Krista. I haven't done many earrings but I was told by a bead store owner/friend of mine that they are worn on either side of the head so no one is gonna notice slight differences and if they do then they will know the earrings are hand made.

These are very pretty. I agree, they don't need to be perfect. One thing I have found is that small problems with matching earrings can be minimized when you lay or hang them not quite at the same level. The eye won't as readily pick up the differences. Those differences often don't matter when you wear them, but can be magnified in pictures.

Well... each piece in the pair shown has subtle differences, so why can't yours? You've got some great advice and support here... so go get 'em!!! We're cheering for you! Jo

Nice job. Don't need to be any more exact. They are handmade and that is a plus.

I disagree, sort of. As an artist, "perfection" lies in asymmetry, a bit of chaos, some luck, masterfully worked with great care. I personally am not a "heart" person, but I think these are perfect for what they are.

Jody, when I first looked at your earrings I thought, "Wow, what pretty earrings!" But then when I read what you said I stopped, took some time & studied them for a few minutes before I ever figured out what the differences were. What everyone said is true! You, of course, know the difference because you made them. Therefore you are way more critical of what you did than anyone who will look at them & appreciate them for their aesthetic value & for the fact that they are handmade! Hey, hey, hey a robot didn't make them!!!!!!
