Ok so I need to find a place that I can get wire that is consistent. I order from para wire which I like but it is not consistently the same. The color varies, I like gunmetal but its a different color each time I order it and the size is not consistent or the hardness. I want to get a good gf wire also. :help: Any help would be Greatly appreciated. Thanks guys Jody

I haven't ordered wire from them, but chain and calibrated settings are always consistent from fire mountain gems.

Beadalon gets all their coated copper from Parawire so you need to consider that if you order from them

I use RioGrande.com The are consistent and efficient. I often go looking for better prices for gold filled and argentium sterling silver but never find anything worth changing stores for. The also do a huge array of different metals for wire. I would suggest them over any other store I've ever used.

Rio is also expensive!
I use them but not for the coated copper wire from Beadalon as you can get it from Parawire cheaper
Also the Beadalon stainless is much cheaper than Rio has it for from Amazon

I pay a fair price at Rio Grande for sterling silve which is all that I use. I have called around the craft stores in the Phoenix area and have not found a place cheaper. I have ordered fron Rio Grande for approx 4 years and have never had a problem. They are fast at shipping as well! Sheri

I also buy my precious metal wire from Rio. The per OZ prices are usually competitive with other vendors. I don't have any experience with the plated wires though.

I'm on the Rio Grande bandwagon too, although I've not bought craft wire from them since I get that at a slight (and I repeat slight) discount at a local bead store and through a craft stores like Ben Franklin's. Have you contacted Parawire about the inconsistencies?

I've dealt with Rio for about 13 years and they have always been good. Yesterday, I got a new order from them- a new NICE carat scale- and my order was messed up. They are sending the missing item today with post paid sticker to return the wrong thing. That's the first mess up I've had. I had one wire problem- argentium 1/2r 1/2h was more like hard and kept breaking.
I wouldn't order craft wire from them. You can do better on the price elsewhere. I use beadaholique for a lot of things, they are pretty good. Also, try wiredupbeads.com- their customer service is awesome!! They are the original designer and maker of wubber pliers. I also like beaducation.com because of the customer service and free tutes. Both have wire, I think.
Also, odds are better that you'll get the same colors if you order in bulk. You'll probably get it from the same color "lot".
