My 85 year old mom liked a recent slab I cut and brought over the templates to her and she traced out the cab she wanted. We used all the wonderful tutorials and information from this forum to figure out how to wrap. Used 20ga silver fill half hard on this 30x40mm cab. Took a few tries but we kind of figured it out. First boo boo is I cut the groove too deep, probably double the depth it needed to be. Oh well. But we're still pleased with our first try. LarryS

cool pendant! little trick when you get a groove too deep just double the wire by putting a piece under the one that will be on the outside

Larry! That's amazing for a first wire wrap!!!! I'm not sure that the grove makes a huge difference since you can't see it from the front anyway, but doubling the loop as suggested would give you a 4 looped top that would look really nice too:).

Another possibility with the deep groove is to twist two wires together then do the wrap. It has worked for me and the twisted wire looks good around the edge. If I can see the groove cut behind the wire I do not like it but that may just be me.
Your cab looks great the way it is though. Jim

That turned out great Larry. I'm sure your mom loves it. Super shine on the cab too.
