I have not posted for a while but I have been getting a little bit done between naps. I am adding some others but the main reason for this post is to show rings made form zebra jade/nephrite that I got from a trade with Mel. This stuff is bad ass. It is a little bit translucent and the paler green is beautiful with the white swirls.

This is translucent nephrite/jade that I also got from Mel

I now have a much greater respect for the people that carve with a rotary tool. All I needed to do was round off the tapered edge of this ring. After screwing it up royally with the dremel I had to use a diamond file to straighten it out by hand.

Thanks to Mel I have a good variety of materials to work with and I have had fun learning how each different material cuts, drills and polishes.
