Always after them in my stones. This one showed up in a slab and dictated that it not be cut small. The cab is 2.25"x1.25". Pretty big ( 3") pendent. As it turns out though I have a friend who is a nurse practitioner who loves these big pendants. She said they were great especially for kids to look and play with (she has big chains) as she examines them.

Cool pendant, and great idea the nurse has. Is that a grooved setting?

This has been my mounting style for a couple years. I have no artistic ability when it comes to wire wrapping. And I cut so many cabs I had to come up with a mount. And yea Pat it's a groove. We call it the JimWrap. I make the part at the top. I call that piece the frog. Thanks for asking.

Beauty of a cab and I like the simplicity of the groove wrap.

The way I have fun telling it is...
I wrap the wire around the stone in the groove. Then I stick the 2 wires up the frogs a$$. Twist um around. Then I shove um back in him. Then I give the frog a little kiss and it becomes a prince. Holding the stone forever...LMBO
Ok... I'm nuts... And I like rocks...

Is that a crimp bead on top? If so, there are attractive bead-like crimp covers.... I like the whole thing.
