Diane, if you don't mind my asking, how do you get your scanner to do that? You always get the rainbows, and the photo is really clear... when I put something on my scanner, it never comes out look like that. I see a leather background...do you throw a piece of leather over the top of your piece?

This is a dimentional scanner from HP and I have no clue why it always reflects a rainbow on shiney surface but it does. I use a piece of leather to cover what I scan as I think it looks better than the white felt I was using. I took the cover off the scanner because I only use it for objects and not paper, got another scanner in my printer that I use for that.
Its hard to get a good scanner that will do dimentional object without blurring parts of it
