Hope this is in the right area. Trying to find out what you use to polish Danburite with? I'm picked up some at a rock show and will try to facet or cab some. Similar to Quartz but some what different.
thanks

Read that 8000 then 50000 diamond would polish. Charged my 8000 some more and it did polish but it also made some scratches show up so may have to go back with 3000 to hopefully get rid of them.

It may just take a softer touch on each wheel towards the end of grinding, before moving to the next one, if one of your wheels is contaminated and continue to scratch. may want to try a little obsidian on each wheel to expose the diamonds equally and keep the water clean for each level. You may see a big difference. Good luck and I am looking forward to seeing the end results! Fran

Sorry it took so long, not a good pic taker yet with the cut stones. Wont tell you I forget about this post either. It did take a good polish with 8000 diamond, didn't try 50000.

That's a beautiful faceting job! The rock club has faceting machines, but they look like a whole lot more work than i want to do. That came out really beautiful, how will you set it?

Thanks Helen, I haven't found an setting small enough to set it. It turned out 8mm X 8mm.
