Wanted to do something different! Ocean Jasper Illinois Picture Stone Owyhee - out of the traditional box on this one - didn't use the braided leather, I used a nice soft leather cord & instead of using metal tips I used horn. This was my second attempt at making bolos. Could be pretty versatile & lots of room to play with other ways to do it.

Cool!
Where do you get your hardware for these? I'm sitting on some cabs my dad wanted me to make bolos with and haven't found the hardware I'd like.

Hi Don, cord and ends that look nice, similar to what Donnie has.
I have the pieces that glue on the back, but nothing else.

John, I think I have several braided leather cords. Don't know about the bolo tips. I'll have to see what I have in the basement.

That horn-tipped piece looks great. Folks who wear bolos would love the cowhide look of that one.
