I finished this a couple weeks ago, but was unhappy with how it turned out. I turned down the curls to tuck in and now I am much happier with it. It's a really gorgeous stone. I love red jasper and hematite. I've been on a red stone kick lately. Don't know if anyone has noticed, but there don't seem to be too many. I just bought a Mary Ellen jasper and Sonoran Plume that are red. The Mary Ellen is really red, while the plume is really muddy and pretty disappointing. Working on those next- probably. Attachments:

That's super cool, stone and wrap! the patina looks like an extension of the dark in the stone. ;D

Thanks, Hub- as is the case with most of these shiny stones, it was pretty hard to get a good picture.

Awesome wrap and stone. I have a couple of red and yellow jasper in hematite that are beautiful but I still have not figured out what to do with them because they are really odd shaped. Jim

Hey Jim- try tracing around them on paper and then just doodling with ideas until you hit something you can accomplish in wire. BTW- I've never seen a red AND yellow jasper in hematite, I bet it's pretty sweet.

I missed this too--another "wow," thanks for making my stones look good! I agree with Hubrocks; the patina looks almost the same color as the hematite. What a great combination.
